1. I wrote a column about Joba Chamberlain’s arm injury and what it could mean for the rest of the Yankee season. Consider that the Yanks thought Darrell Rasner had lost his rotation rights in favor of journeyman reliever Dan Giese, now both become probable starters this weekend against the Angels. For the short run, the rotation could include tonight’s starter Sidney Ponson, Rasner and Giese. It is possible that it is just a short-term picture. Maybe Chamberlain, Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy will all be in the rotation in two weeks.
